Sunday, September 6th from 1-3pm
Using ink and a nib to write calligraphy takes practice. During this workshop, you will be introduced with the fundamentals of how to load the ink, use a penholder, and the proper way of writing strokes to write script, with a modern approach. Taking the Hand Lettering Workshop would be helpful, though is not required as there are different techniques used for both—the practice and muscle memory is key. With the purchase of this workshop, you will take home the calligraphy kit consisting of a penholder, nib, calligraphy grid paper, and instructional worksheets.

Location:
This workshop series will take place at the beautifully curated and incredibly scented Brass Earth warehouse in Grandview at King Ave. and Northwest Blvd. I am so grateful to Heather McCloud, owner of Brass Earth and The Brass Hand, for letting me host my Summer Artist Series workshops in her production space—where she and her team produces, packages, and ships all the small-batched incense, purfume, and salt soak and scrub products. Each participant will also leave with a Brass Earth goodie bag, thanks to Heather and her team!
Beverages + Light Snacks:
Grace will be providing adult beverages (and alternate drink options) and some light snacks for attendees to enjoy during the workshops, though you are welcome to bring your own beverages or nibbles if you’d like.
